"We are focusing on bringing technology to the masses to simplify their lives," declared Information Technology (IT) and Digital Services (DS) Minister Mano Thangaraj at the G20's National Roadshow Digital Innovation Alliance, which was organized through the Crescent Innovation and Incubation Council (CIIC) an organization of the B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology (BSACIST).

"As a Minister, I recognized the need for human resources in the IT industry and creating a workforce with global competence, which we are achieving through training and faculty development programmes," said the CEO.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has announced a goal for Tamil Nadu to achieve a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030—the CM. Thangaraj said the government was working to develop 25 lakh skilled young people in the IT industry to reach this target. The Minister also encouraged the public to participate in Imagine, a conference scheduled that will be held later this month, which aims to promote the use of new technologies within the State.

Jeet Vijay, CEO of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has elaborated on the vision of the Prime Minister for the G20 presidency. He said that after Digital India was launched in 2015, the country had 90,000 startup companies and 100 unicorns, all with financial inclusion via UPI.

"There is an important shift in the field from the government's viewpoint. The government is focusing more on innovation and making entrepreneurs from students," stated J. Kumaragurubaran, Secretary of IT and DS. The roadshow was described as a platform for facilitating innovative minds and applauding the available local talent.

"Today's youth are lucky to be a part of a digital age that has boundless opportunities, and I would like to see more student entrepreneurs," said B.S.A. Arif Buhary Rahmanas, chancellor at BSACIST. The Minister has released a list of the startups CIIC has created and awarded prize money to winners from the hackathon with the roadshow.
